Typically, protagonists are anti-heroes, rebels, or hackers who challenge oppressive mega-corporations or authoritarian regimes. Cybernetics, virtual reality, and artificial intelligence are often integral to the narrative.

Cyberpunk explores themes of human augmentation, loss of privacy, and the impact of technology on society, serving as a cautionary reflection of our potential future, highlighting the blurred lines between humanity and machinery.
